Sukkot: dates, start and end
Sukkot, the festival of booths, begins on 15 Tishrei: one eats (and sleeps) in the sukkah for seven days, and takes the four species, lulav and etrog, each morning. The first two days are Yom Tov in the diaspora, the rest are Chol HaMoed.
